Bits and Pieces
While I already made a post today, it seemed to grande and vague. I'm not being fair to myself. In fact, I am doing all sorts of little projects constantly. Why just this week I bought a purple shag rug and some purple pillows to complement Izzy's new curtains that are in the works. Now I just need to find time to sew them as it's apparently not a nap friendly project. I've also done a significant amount of research on the amazing and fascinating bumble bee. What a magical creature. I have plans of making a screen print for Z, and a tattoo for me. That's right, you heard it. it's time for a new piece of art for my body. Which if that ain't crafty, I don't know what is.
Stirring the Pot
Things are definitely in the works. While over the course of the last many many months, I've been trying to determine how best to fill the void that expresses who I am with my brief windows of time. Admittedly, most of that time is spent cruising the web, catching up on all the interesting things that other people are doing in search of their bliss. But now as summer approaches, I continue to find more comfort and stability with life in Los Angeles, and a new found discipline to really focus and start seeing some small but monumental goals through 'til the finish.
Unfortunately for me as CFO, CEO and President of this home, my most important duty is to get this stack of short sale paperwork filled out and off of my desk.
But after that... just you wait. I'm finding inspiration in all the right places. Making smaller, daily goals for myself. And most importantly, working on my posture.

The Garden

So while I've decided to boycott sewing for a while, I still have some sewing plans in the works. In the mean time, in honor of my very first real opportunity to attempt something like this, I've planted a garden. Some flowers, lots of herbs, and a good variety of veggies. Our yard is really shady however - which is generally nothing to complain about living in the desert - but it can make it a little more challenging to have a successful garden. So now, we water and wait.
